 HARVEST potluck DINNER                 As the days of autumn get cooler, the warmth of friendship sustains us.  
Be a part of opening our doors to veterans, family and friends to join us for service and our Harvest Dinner.  During service, attending veterans please sit in the first six rows on either side of the main aisle.

This is a potluck dinner.  Turkeys and mashed potatoes will be provided.  A sign-up sheet for bringing items and indicating how many people in your party will be attending will be posted on October 7, 2018.
We are asking that the certain items be brought to church the week before the dinner on November 4th.  Those items will be indicated on the sign-up sheet.  The Special Events Committee will combine and prepare the canned goods, we are requesting specific brands and sizes to facilitate the menu.
Other items on the sign-up sheet can be dropped off before service on  November 11th.  
Please sign-up by the deadline date of October 29, 2017, so food planning can be handled adequate
 Advent Tea by Candlelight This year we are very excited to announce that the performers for the Advent Tea will be the group, The Arbor Consort . They are an acapella group that will be performing all Victorian Christmas Music from before 1920.  When: November 30, 2018 Time: Advent Tea at 7:00pm, doors open at 6:30pm Where: St. Matthew’s Fellowship Hall Who: The women and girls of St. Matthew’s and their guests RSVP by November 18th so that seating can be arranged Signup sheets will be posted on the wall across from the office or call Jennifer Guedesse 734-502-8489 or Janet Ellis 734-421-2673 to reserve your spot. Please call if you have any questions.  Guests – simply sign up to come. You do not need to have a specific table or hostess in mind everyone is welcome. If you want to hostess, signup on the HOSTESS SHEET. If you are inviting specific guests for your table, please write the number of guests and put your name next to theirs on the signup sheet. Hostesses are responsible for: -providing a dessert for your guests  -providing tableware (can be paper or plastic) for your dessert, plates, silverware, napkins, cups for tea and a teapot (or use a kitchen carafe) -decorating your table (it does not need to be elaborate) Candles should be included  -you might consider co-hosting to share duties -you don’t need to fill a table (8 people) to hostess, maybe save a few spots for some new friends to join you Donations for Livonia Goodfellows will be accepted
Chelsea Ellis will be teaching an Origami Folding class on Oct 18 and 27 in room 105 at 730 pm. No experience is necessary. You only need to attend one class.
